AmBank Group contributed food hamper comprises daily necessities such as rice, cooking oil and canned foods, which will benefit 500 families from the asnaf category with monthly income of less than RM600. The distribution was handled by representatives from AIM nationwide.

AmBank Group has reached out to the underserved community with contributions in the form of food hampers worth RM75,000 to 500 asnaf families nationwide. The initiative is also the first of AmBank’s collaboration with Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) and also part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts in reaching out and help uplift the underserved community at large.

Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, Group Chief Executive Officer, AmBank Group says “We are glad to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate and we hope this will bring cheer to them in the festive month of Syawal. This is also a timely initiative as it comes at a time where the country is still fighting the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.”

The distribution was handled by representatives from AIM nationwide on 6 and 7 May 2021 with strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
