Friday, 30 September 2022 - AmBank Group has undertaken to proactively reduce its carbon footprint in electricity consumption by installing Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lightings in four of its main buildings in the Klang Valley in line with AmBank Group’s Sustainability Agenda.

Jamie Ling, Group Chief Financial Officer, who is also the Chairman of AmBank Group’s Energy Management Forum said, “We are proud to announce that four of AmBank Group’s main buildings are now fully installed with LEDs, namely Menara AmBank, Bangunan AmBank Group, Wisma AmFirst and Damansara Fairway 3. The installation of the LED lighting for the main buildings started since 2019 and was conducted in phases before the full completion in July 2022. Meanwhile, the installation of LED lighting for branch premises is currently ongoing and targeted to be completed by the end of FY2023.

As part of long-term target to achieve Net Zero Carbon, AmBank has also implemented other green initiatives, such as
