AmMetLife Insurance Berhad (AmMetLife) has collaborated with Food Aid Foundation to provide food supplies to families who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foundation works with charities in Penang, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak through its “Food Bags for the Needy” programme, which reaches the underserved communities from rural areas, charity homes, and homeless shelters.
Lee Jiau Jiunn, CEO, AmMetLife said, “A large number of families across Malaysia have been impacted by the latest wave of COVID-19. Many of them are under severe financial stress and are unable to afford basic food staples. We hope that by teaming up with Food Aid Foundation, we can reach out to these affected families and help ease their burden by contributing vital food supplies. Our support will help over 6,000 people get access to the food they need.”
