AmBank Group celebrated the spirit of Deepavali by bringing smiles and educational support to the students of SJK (Tamil) Desa Cempaka in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan recently. As part of the Bank's ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its dedication to the communities it serves, AmBank organized a heartwarming event filled with festivities, food, and educational assistance.
Deepavali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a time of joy and togetherness for Malaysians of Indian heritage. AmBank Group seized this opportunity to embrace the spirit of the festival and share the happiness with the students of SJK (Tamil) Desa Cempaka.
The event, which took place on 2 November 2023, was a true celebration of culture, diversity, and the joy of learning. Students at the school were treated to a delightful lunch featuring traditional Indian cuisine. The celebration was interspersed with mesmerizing Indian cultural performances that left the students and staff captivated. The day was filled with laughter and amazement as the children enjoyed face and henna painting; and a magical performance that left everyone in awe.
As a lasting gift to the school and its students, AmBank Group contributed four state-of-the-art smart TV units to facilitate interactive and engaging learning activities. These smart TVs will undoubtedly enhance the educational experience of the students, helping them stay up-to-date with modern teaching methods and technology.
