What is DuitNow?
DuitNow is a hassle-free and secured real time fund transfer platform that enables you to make and receive funds nationwide by using a DuitNowID. DuitNow is an industry-wide initiative governed by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet), with an official website at www.duitnow.com.my.
To make payments, all you need is the beneficiary’s DuitNowID which has been registered on the DuitNow Platform.
Similarly, to receive payments, you have to ensure that you are registered on the DuitNow Platform and have obtained your DuitNowID accordingly.
DuitNowID unique identifiers are as follows:
Corporates:
- Business Registration Number (BRN) registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM).
Individuals:
- Mobile Number, National Identification Number (NRIC) or Passport Number.
For sole proprietors, partnerships and enterprises – DuitNowID can be registered with a combination of A and B as above.
Once you have received the confirmation on your DuitNow Registration, you are good to go.

How does DuitNow Work?
To Receive Payments
- Step 1: Register your DuitNowID with AmBank and nominate your preferred account
- Step 2: Share your DuitNowID with a payer and receive payments instantly
To Make Payments (Coming Soon)
- Step 1: Log in to your Corporate e-banking service and look for DuitNow
- Step 2: Enter the payee’s DuitNowID along with the payment details and confirm payment

What is Cross-Border DuitNow QR?
Cross Border QR is an interoperable QR standard that enables tourists and foreign nationals from participating countries – Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand to make payments directly by scanning the DuitNow QR Code via their respective mobile banking apps at any participating DuitNow QR merchant in Malaysia.
Without needing to manually exchange physical cash at a money changer or at a bank, the Cross-Border DuitNow QR allows currency to be converted instantaneously via the eWallet or mobile banking app of any participating bank.
This feature is also available for Malaysians visiting or travelling to the participating countries. Malaysians can scan the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS), and PromptPay QR codes in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand respectively in participating stores.
